  1. The barcode is not working wery well for my app, but from what I can see it says “maybe it is better if I don’t remember” Spooky

    1. im so late but it says
“I DON’T REMEMBER ALL OF IT”
“MAYBE IT IS BETTER” (?? im guessing its maybe “it is better if I donโ€™t remember”)
      “IF ONLY WE DIDN’T LEAVE”

      1. I think it’s “Maybe it is better that way”.

  2. ooh boy i do love it when my favorite characters have a traumatic backstory

  5. Omg I came here from webtoon after knowing that there is the touch of animation and its so so cool! Like i don’t think anyone has done this way! And the music in few of the chapters what a great touch! Love the cross over of past and future. The story, the way its unfolding makes my curiosity keeps growing! I hope you blow up even more than you!

  6. How do you check the barcode? I see comments where people are talking about the hidden words but I don’t know how to do that

    1. late ik but for others, you can search for a decoder online and insert a screenshot or picture of it, this type of barcode can be translated into text so it should work

Oh #### I was right! I’m so sorry. But the river was different, ig. Why there is so much blood? What happened?

  15. Trauma time :3

  16. Anyone else notice the third location arrow in the 9th panel? Which Iโ€™m guessing is the body, ehehโ€ฆ

  17. Wait him having flashbacks to the past does this mean they both found a dead body in the past how do you find two dead bodies in your lifetime like one’s already crazy but two sus *insert among us meme here*

  18. Woah

  19. Oh my god, what a chapter! It was incredible.
Daph looked so so innocent when he was a baby. It hurt to look at him. Not like he looks evil as a grownup, but he looks…. weathered. Like he has seen things that most people can’t handle. In the previous chapter, when Daph saw the corpse by the river, his expression was the EXACT same as the one he had when his friend died. The terror translated so well despite the age difference. But one difference I noticed is that baby Daph was in shock, almost disbelieving, when he saw the dead body but adult Daph knew what he was looking at. Sh*t I wish I was explaining this well. But it was almost like adult Daph knew and understood what happened, and what needed to be done. He was the one who alerted the police. I wish he had not had to mature like that in the face of terrifying murders.

Also, this was the most interesting chapter for me! Because we get to see the flash back from the side of Tom. And boy does it give me so many clues to overthink on. I’ll talk about those later, because I need to talk about the fact that Tom’s and Daph’s friend was killed in the EXACT SAME PLACE. I wouldn’t have noticed, what with the river looking polluted as hell now, compared to the healthy looking river of their childhood. I almost thought they were on a coastline, because in my country because it looked like it at first. But it was the map and Baby Tom’s shirt that clued me in. That was devious btw. I never thought you meant deja vu in the sense that even the location was the same. it hurts my heart for Daph.
Now my “I-think-i-connected-the-dots-but-i-havent-connected-shit” segment. I think it’s really interesting that Daph’s and Tom’s friend’s name was censored in Tom’s memory. Not only that it’s censored by the shadows. It’s always been hinted at that their friend’s death was a significant event in the course of Daph getting the shadows, and considering that the shadows is sort of protecting (?) the young friend’s name, I have reached the conclusion that…. *drum rolls please*…..that the shadows is their dead friend. Or something like Shadows came from the death of their friend, directly. I couldn’t defend my thesis, except for the fact that I find it makes sense.
It’s just that, Daph having this ability is making a lot of problems for Daph, but at its core, it’s a useful ability. If Daph didn’t run around causing problems, I would even call in a protective ability. To be able to sniff out lies. But whats so special about Tom that he is immune to the shadows? He has seemingly no abilities of his own. But the question is what is the consequences of him being immune? He is an outlier to Daph. Daph can’t know what he’s thinking, but it is also true that Daph has no choice BUT to trust him because at the core of trust there is the vulnerability to take the risk and believe someone. In doing so, Tom has become someone Daph can fall back on. If I were to look at the shadows as a sentient being that can also control Daph’s perception of Tom, and if I were to look at this dynamic, it’s almost like the Shadows MADE Tom as Daph’s protector. And in kind, by giving Daph (and by extension, Tom) the ability to see the lies around them, shadows is protecting the both of them. That’s why I think there’s some connection between the shadows and their friend- this drive to protect. Of course, all this is based on some assumptions: 1, the shadows aren’t malevolent. 2, the dead friend loved Daph and Tom. 3, Daph and Tom has nothing to do with their death.

(I have not, very deliberately, considered the ‘villain’-the-superhot-undercut-villain you have hinted at in the shorts in this theory. Because I do not have that many braincells. All of this is speculation but I’m still commenting because, if I’m hilariously wrong, at least you can laugh at it ๐Ÿ˜‚)

  20. Ohhh nooo the guiltttt IT WASNT YOUR GUY’S FAULT NOOOOOO
